Terms 1 and 2!

Our website may have been quiet but life at Clermiston certainly hasn't been! As Term 2 draws to a close we wanted to update you on just some of the amazing things we have been doing.

Our P1s and 2s have settled brilliantly into playing and learning together. This term they have worked so hard on their Winter Show and loved sharing it with friends and family, putting on no fewer than three performances!

In Term 1 P3 learned all about the water cycle and even created their own mini water cycle bags on the classroom windows! This term they have been working hard on their writing and created amazing villian factfiles.

P4 discovered lots of interesting facts about Edinburgh past and present, and created some fabulous artwork inspired by Edinburgh's old town.

P5s impressed us all with their inventiveness and teamwork on their Enterprise project, running a range of stalls at the Christmas Fair and raising money for their chosen charities.

P6 investigated the challenges faced when building bridges and then made their own! They also had a super time with their P2 class buddies, sharing their Book Bug Bags.

The P7s started their year with an incredible adventure at Lagganlia, where they enjoyed an amazing range of experiences. Since then they have settled brilliantly into P7 life, getting involved in all aspects of wider school life and supporting younger classes through our Morning Helpers and Reading Buddies initiatives.

Earlier this month the whole school had a magical morning at the Lyceum Theatre for their winter show, The Snow Queen. We loved the catchy songs, the wonderful costumes and of course, Hamish the unicorn!

Wishing all our families a relaxing and fun Christmas break. We can't wait to see what 2024 holds!
